Act 2
As Sakuntala and Dusyanta each become lost in their feelings of love, Sakuntala's father sets off on a journey. No sooner has he left than the demons enter the sacred grove. Dusyanta learns of this and demands his weapons. He succeeds in driving the demons away.

Sakuntala's father is known throughout the country as a priest. No sooner has he left the sacred grove to carry out an important mission than demons appear.
Dusyanta only has Sakuntala in mind as he goes to battle the demons.
Sakuntala catches sight of Dusyanta. Together they succeed in gaining victory over the evil forces.
